How do I login to ASUCLA VPN and Marketing NAS Server from Remote Home (Personal) Windows Computer / Laptop?

1) From your personal computer / laptop (with Windows OS), click on this link to access the ASUCLA VPN web portal: https://sslvpn.asucla.ucla.edu/spog/welcome

Then change the Domain to "ASUCLA" as shown below

2) Log in with your Network / VPN username and password

3) Check your email for a temporary password. Type in the temporary password in the prompt below and click on "VERIFY". Please note, if you do not receive the temporary password within 2-5 minutes, please check your junk-email folder

4) If this is the first time logging into the VPN Portal on your personal device, a message will pop up on the top of your screen as shown below. (If the prompt did not appear and this is the first time logging into the VPN Portal on your device, skip this step and proceed to step 5)

Click "Download" and the file will be downloaded and can be seen at the bottom left of your screen (or top right depending on which Web Browser you are using) as shown below. Select the file to begin installation and follow any steps it provides. Once completed, wait for a few seconds and select "Installed", then "Continue" on the prompt shown above.

5) At the top right of your screen, click on your profile icon and select "Downloads" (Note: The initials and the name reflect yours)

6) As shown below, under the "NETEXTENDER CLIENTS" section, select and download "Windows 64-bit.exe". Follow the installation prompts. (Note: If you did not get the prompt from Step 4, under the section "SECURE-MOBILE ACCESS CONNECT AGENTS", select and download "Windows.msi".)

7) Next, return to the VPN PORTAL screen by selecting your profile icon (As shown in step 5) and selecting "Virtual Office". Now, an icon called "NetExtender" will appear. Click on it.

After selecting NetExtender, a prompt will appear as shown below. Select the box "Always allow . . ." and proceed to "Open SonicWall SMA Connect Agent"

The NetExtender Application will then launch. At the top right should be your username alongside the "Connected" status. Now you are connected the the ASUCLA Network.

8) After connecting to the network, you will have to manually add the Marketing NAS Server and Shared Drives. On your personal device, open "File Explorer" as shown below, by either searching the term or selecting the icon on your taskbar at the bottom of your screen.

Select "This PC" in the left pane as shown below. Under the "Computer" tab at the top, select "Map network drive".

For "Drive:", select any Letter that is unused (It should be an empty space like for example, Z: ) For "Folder:", enter the following with an unused Letter Drive for each with "Reconnect at sign-in" selected and click "Finish":

A "Network Credentials" prompt will appear. The username and password will be the same as your VPN Portal credentials, but with "asucla\" added before username. For example:

Username: asucla\VPNUsername

9) The Marketing NAS Server and Shared Drives are now mapped. You can see them under "Network Locations" in "File Explorer" as shown below with a green indicator. (Note: The sample image should reflect the drives "Marketing" and "Market Shared")
